Latifa is a self-taught painter of Senegalese origin born in 1975, she made her first creations in 2003, her painting is her cry, her weapon, her means of expression.
For most of her paintings she does what she calls intuitive painting...that is to say, as she paints one element, she sees other forms appear; by working on the contrast, the color, the light, and the treatment of the paint, she gives a role to these forms in relation to the other elements.
It is an unconscious and intuitive exchange between the canvas and her;
She is then in communion with each of the elements, and lets them take their place.
Most often, she analyzes her works once the gesture is finished; there is like a released energy, because his painting is clearly located in the line of well-being.
She tries to create a certain visual harmony that matches the emotion she feels while painting.
She feels very inspired by life; beautiful and disturbing, its multiple facets offer themselves to her in a symphony resulting from a curious look at the marriage of colors.
She draws the viewer into this almost unreal world, which transforms her when she blows hot and cold against curiosity. However, she does not intend to use psychoanalysis to explain her feelings.
She discovers in herself a rebirth, at the moment when she needed the thought to paint, to see her self on the canvas, to paint to free herself from her impressions, from all her sensations and life inspires her of what she gives or takes, and the images are superimposed, responding to her creation.
